Let There Be Light
For the past several years, the monks of Mount Angel Abbey have advanced a vision to revitalize its Mount of Communion as a regional center of prayer and learning through the Let There Be Light Capital Campaign.
Phase I
The first phase of the campaign raised $27 million. This made possible the renovation of Aquinas Hall, the construction of Annunciation, a bell tower and the establishment of endowments for the Seminary and Library.
Phase II
The 5-year second phase of the campaign is underway. The Campaign Goal is $18.3 million total in three important areas:
- $12 million in Endowment for the Seminary, Monastery and Library
- $1.6 million for for new seminarian rooms in Anselm Hall
- $4.8 million for Monastery and Church renovation
